St. James’ Church is located near the corner of East Grand Avenue
and Quinnipiac Avenue in the Fair Haven Heights section of New Haven.
All New Haven “D” buses stop at that corner.
Driving Directions From Downtown New Haven
- Take Elm Street from the New Haven Green
- Elm Street becomes Grand Avenue outside the city center
- Follow Grand Avenue about 1.5 miles
- Cross over a black bridge to light at Quinnipiac Avenue
- St. James’ Church is located one-half block ahead on the left
From Interstate 91
- Take Exit 8 (Middletown Avenue-Rte. 80)
- Go east on Middletown Avenue less than one-half mile to junction with Quinnipiac Avenue (Shell station on corner.)
- Go right on Quinnipiac one mile to next light (Ziggy’s Pizza on corner.)
- Left on East Grand Avenue
- St. James’ Church is located one-half block ahead on the left
